Nice but really expensive. I think that you can modify a classic car but it doesn't raise its value. In the end the ones in good original condition are more valuable than modified ones.

If you put $100k for restoring a AMX or $100k for making a heavily modified show car it's only the first one that will still be worth something after 10 years or so. Only some custom cars built by some well known builders seem to be worth something. Coddington's Chezoom and Whatthehaye were just sold $325k and $671k.

I'm not against modifying cars but asking ridiculous amounts for them isn't going to work. Just find an AMX that's decent but missing the original engine and put some crate engine monster inside.

You can get 572 cid Chevy engine for $17k from your Chevy dealer.
